DTI – EMB Recognized Philbest as Outstanding Exporter during NEC 2017

The Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, awarded Philippine companies for their outstanding export performance during the National Exporters’ Congress (NEC) held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

Philbest Canning Corporation, a subsidiary of RD Corporation, was honored as The Most Outstanding Regional Interactive Platform for Philippine Exporters (Ripples) Plus Awardee for Mindanao. This is in recognition of its remarkable international success in penetrating and reaching global markets and its strong commitment to national growth and economic development through competitive Philippine exports. The citation was based on the value of Philbest’ export transactions from the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) for 2014 to 2016.

The NEC 2017 was attended by over 700 exporters and representatives from business-support organizations, government agencies, the academe and invited foreign guests. The event was composed of an exhibit, info sessions and plenary sessions in the morning and followed by the awarding ceremony and Gala dinner. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Innovative. Collaborative. Export.”
